Wristlets

This pattern was adapted from a WWII-era British Good Housekeeping leaflet entitled "Good Housekeeping's Forces' Knitting Book".

Materials Required: 1 oz. of fingering weight yarn [Ed. note: 120-150 yards/ounce, 380-480 m/100g]

Needles: Size 5 single pointed needles [Ed. note: 3.75 mm]

Cast on 48 sts.

Work in Rib Pattern of K 3, P 1, working every row the same and not reversing as you come back across the row.

Bind off loosely in rib. Press, without stretching, with a hot iron, over tissue paper, and sew up with fine seam.
